In Oct 2010 my TSH was 2.11 and my T4 was 17, I have since had the blood tests again in Oct 2013 and my TSH was 1.96 and my T4 was 11.4, I have been back to my doctors twice as I just feel so tired and achy, I have also put on 3 stone which I cannot shift even being on a very low calorie diet, my doctor just offers me anti depressants every time I visit her. Is the reduction in my T4 over 3 years an indication that I might be starting to suffer from thyroid issues? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, I have been feeling unwell now for a while ... - Thyroid UK
Hi, I have been feeling unwell now for a while and have many of the symptoms of a thyroid condition. Blood tests in Oct 2010 were normal.
Interestingly, I had similar results with my T4 for many years but was never told about them. It was only when I was actually diagnosed with a higher TSH that I managed to get a copy of my results. My T4 for many years had been lower even than the bottom of the range. Without a doubt I had hypothyroidism at that stage but it had never been picked up. I spent years putting on weight and feeling unwell with panic attacks, lethargy etc etc. Now I am being treated, all of those symptoms have near enough gone. Still cant lose the weight though. Needed to have been picked up earlier I think.

Unfortunately i don't have any further details. I am going back to the docs on Tuesday and am going to ask him to do the blood tests again, however, i wondered if it was normal for my T4 to go from 17 to 11.4 in a 3 year period, does this mean that in say 12 months time it might be even lower or isit normal to fluctuate like this?
