just added a link where im hoping its clearer
no ferritin or folate tested
all i know is when i had scan was told thyroid was small as was being attacked by either immune or antibodies
dr told me end stage throiditis
was taken off thyroxine in november due to racing heart shortness of breath and palps
endo thinks symtons are not thyroid related allthough they are (there is a post with letter from him on here)
started 50mcg thyroxine saturday (wasstill on repeat so put in for it) wil tell gp im back on it when i se he to see why im suffering thyroid symptons
i take 3 200mg ferrous sulphate daily with orange juice and when i remember i add 1000mg vit c to my water, i did ask for iron ect to be checked a while ago and was told they wont check as wasnt due blood test, i will mention to dr and if no joy see practise manager and explain the shortness of breath and drop in oxygen level ect. Ill stop thyroxine for now and continue with iron and vit c. I question endo about end stage thyroiditis and his reply was there was inflamation at the time of scan
couple of months now,, nevver had ferritin and folate tested, seen breathing nurse a while ago who did lung function test and my lungs came back as 42 and im 41 and she said that looking at results she would never have guessed i was a smoker of 25 a day, im now down to less than 10 a day but using ecig too, no allergies that i know of not sure about the gluten. i am very over weight though and no matter i cant shift it. ill make appoinment to see breathing nurse too, i was given an inhalor ages ago and it did nothing for shortness of breath, oxygen levels seem to drop late evenings but not every night
is 600mg ferrous sulphate the highest dose im allowed? i tollerate them really well
And have you had B12 tested as well? My eyes are struggling with it but looks to me like your MCH is at the top of the range? This can be due to B12 and/or folate deficiency, and your symptoms tie in:

And obviously as others have said hypo.
