Have not been on here for a while so just checking in to give update...have so many things going on and due to suffering with AIH, PBC and Hashis, I never know how I am going to be from one day to the next.
I have suffered with all three for nearly 2 years now and the hashis 20 years before the liver condition, but recently feel crap. I know it's not my liver because meds are working and liver function tests are normal.
I went to see ENT person last week, and although I did say that I feel like crap, am exhausted all the time and oh yeah, I have yet another lump on my thyroid.
Now am not sure if you are aware but I am receiving NO treatment for my Hashis and I have suffered with it for over 20 years, I only got a positive diagnosis Jan 2013. every time I go to the ENT he asks if I am taking thyroxine and every time I say no. I am now at the point where I need life saving meds because of my autoimmune liver disease and cannot afford to buy them. If I can't have my meds then my liver will fail and I will die. I know if you take thyroxine, you get free prescriptions....I am so very cross about this because there is a direct link between hashimotos and autoimmune liver disease. I was never given treatment for my hashis and I truly believe that if I had, I would not be in the situation I am now.
The ENT checked my throat and agreed that there is a new lump measuring 2 cm by 2 cm. He took a fine needle test and said he would like to see me back in 2 to 3 weeks. He also asked me loads of questions he never asked before like, do I have night sweats, or any unusual pains plus lots of other questions. I had a very foggy head that day and was alone so I did not take much of what he said in, and I believe cancer was mentioned.
When I got home and could actually think, I realized that yes, I get night sweats, but I put it down to menopause until now, I also have an unexplained pain on my right upper chest, nothing relating to my liver or gall bladder as had the gall bladder out, and a scan showed things normal. Funny thing is this pain is on the same side as my new lump and when he stuck the needle in I felt it where the pain is so I really don't know what to think.
I am not worried but am a little confused, and won't worry until I know exactly, and perhaps it is just another cystic lump filled with antibodies like the previous two were...I just want to feel well and I need my hashis treating, and as a bonus I would be able to have the meds my liver cannot do without; not to mention I also have chronic asthma....
Sorry if sounds like a whinge but an so fed up.
any info would be very welcome
