He has put on a lot of weight and is continually tired and depressed. He also suffers badly with his tum, always very bloaty and uncomfortable and often painful. Is this possibly leaky gut rather than thyroid problem?

Has he had any other tests done like D3, B12, Ferritin, Folates and intracellular Magnesium. These are all very important for the correct hormone function, and need to be optimised? Your GP can do them.

Also do any of these symptoms seem familiar as there could be another reason for his discomfort and symptoms? These symptoms could be indicative of a treatable condition that can cause hormone dysfunction.
