My wife was diagnosed 2 years ago with CFS and is having a terrible time and I've had enough with her doctors! She's on all sorts of pills for migraines, sickness, stomach issues etc.
I'm getting angry about this..
Thanks!

They will not give you any results you wife will have to request them x
Have a look at both of these links regarding accessing medical records. The second link has a draft letter which you could write and then it would just need your wifes signature.

Hope this helps.

You would need power of attorney to access anything to do with your wifes medical records. Its different in england than scotland and I only know the scottish ones, but you could easily google it. I had to get a medical power of attorney several years ago while in scotland, but thats a different story.
The doctors are not allowed to discuss your wifes medical issues with you, however that does not stop you going to see her doctor, if you feel she is not being treated appropriately. You can put your concerns across to them. They may actually take more notice of someone else speaking to them, however I dont advise you to do this without her permission, and dont expect the doctors to discuss anything with you. It may however be enough for them to then take your wifes problems more seriously if they are not doing so at the moment.
Tell your wife to phone the surgery and say she would like a print-out results of her blood tests, with the ranges, and that you are going to pick them up. Make sure they have the ranges and post them on a new question for members to comment.
Your wife joins a long list of patients who had a struggle, first to be diagnosed and then to be given adequate medication.
This is a big learning curve for you and her.
