Have a feeling support is going to be even more important now without Dr Skinner.

There are some groups listed on the Thyroid UK website here

thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/suppor...

Lincolnshire isn't mentioned though. If you do get a group going, let Thyroid UK know so that they can add you to the list. That way they have your details to pass on to anyone who enquires :)

I've pinned your question so that it stays visible in the column on the right.

Hi Skinnerfan - I don't think there is a group locally but are you thinking of starting one? If so I would be very interested. Regards, Jax

Doncaster is only just over an hour away so we could meet somewhere between, Donny, Waddington, Market Rasen, Newark, Lincoln..... Not got a map but it seems doable every so often.

Hi everyone I'm hoping to arrange a first date for this in Feb. May help to find out roughly what the best day and times are for most people?

I would prefer evenings if that fits in with other people.

I'll fit in with the majority but prefer daytime to evenings :-)

Haven't forgotten about starting a thyroid support group in Lincoln. waiting to hear if Revival on Sincil Street is going to be offered another venue; if so we will be able to use it for meetings. Check out the revival lincolnshire facebook page for news.

Hoping that revival Lincoln will get new premises in Lincoln when it closes this month and then we can have monthly thyroid support meetings there.

Did anything come of this? My mum has poorly treated hypothyroidism. I think she would benefit from speaking to others, but not being technically inclined something like this would be great.

Hi Thanks for reminding me! i have had a lot going on recently plus thanks to Dr Skinner and armour I am now well but I think a group would be a really good idea. What about the new community place that has opened up in what was Lincoln's big wok? Can't think of it's name it has followed on from the close of Revival. It could be a good venue it's fairly central. What does everyone think?
