Blood tests and symptoms indicate hypo T. Put on steroids for RA. No blood results but symptoms reduced.. Any one experienced same?.

Hi Not personally. However, cortisone is the main treatment for Adrenal glands , so I would say quite possible.

I was given meds. for psoriatic arthritis before thyroid diagnosis,but they did't work.

I suspect you have a degree of adrenal dysfunction that's been helped by the hydrocortisone. X

Thanks Reallyfedup, During the three years I was under the rhumatologist thyroid was never mentioned. took sulfasazine andmethotrexate. then discharged because I couldn't tolerate the drugs. I was given a synacthen test last week. My last B12 in April was 634 and cortisol 265.

Comments please on blood results below- after taking T3 for 3months and no thyroxine:

Confused about latest blood tests - why are FT4 and FT3 rising, but I still feel awful and I'm undiagnosed and not on any meds?

I have another fight on my hands with GP results of my blood T4 to high TSH to low well zero any one have the same probs

I feel very well thank you very much i think that is the most important thing not the blood tests
