Hi Sally - I'm afraid I can't make this one but I just wanted to take the opportunity to remind people that I am planning a Saturday meeting on the morning of March 16th at my house in north Bristol. It's particularly aimed at people who can't make the usual weekday meetings. Thanks xx

Hi, (new here!)

I am 21, diagnosed with hypothyroidism Dec 2011. I have been struggling a lot recently with chronic headaches, fatigue and difficulty concentrating on any of my work (not to mention skin complaints; rashes, dry patches) which I am convinced are related to my thyroid. Doctors send me away saying that my thyroid is "fine" - last TSH reading 3.29, looking no further into it and putting my symptoms down to tension headaches and that I should see a counsellor and relax. I don't know anyone else with a thyroid problem that I can talk to, or who will take me seriously and don't know what to do! Would this support group be something for me?

Your TSH is too high for someone on thyroxine. What is your current dose and do you have a test result for T4? Xx

shame you missed the group, post your questions and some one will answer you,do come to the next meeting, it really is somewhere you can sound off and get some support and ask questions and be taken seriously,because everyone has had similar experiences,look foward to seeing you on tyhe5th april

Hi Zoe - just wondering if you made it to the last meeting or not? I couldn't go last time. Your symptoms sound like you need an increase in thyroxine. Hope to see you at a future meeting. Clare xx

Sorry I hadnt realised anyone had replied! I'm based in Clifton but have a car... On 75mcg levothyroxine, and can't remember my T4 at present but am picking up a prescription later and will be able to find out!
