I have no hyperthryoid symptoms, I keep an eye on BP and P and other symptoms. Is it ok to stay on this prescription?

I was diagnosed as hypothyroid for 3 yrs and take 200mcg. I feel good at this but last results were 0.02 TSH and 28 T4. Should I be worried?
The problem is that many of us won't get hyper symptoms, I was overmedicated for several years ( I wasn't aware at the time) I had no hyper symptoms whatsoever and I fought like a mad women when they wanted to reduce my dose but had to give in eventually. I am now on a lower dose and have been for about 3 years but I now have thinning bones and heart problems due to taking too much Levo all that time. We are all different but I have no working thyroid and manage very well on 100mcg in fact I think I could probably go down a tad more, the 200mcg you are on is quite high so do be careful in the long term.
It would be valuable to know what your free T3 level is. That would tell more about overdosing. You should insist on finding out whether your T4 is converting at all and how much.
If you feel well, Dr Lowe would have said stay at that dose. Once you begin to adjust your dose it can mess up your metabolism. You would certainly be aware of being hyper if you were overdosing.
The best way to know if your dose suits you is the answer to 'How do you feel". This is a link and go to the question dated July 15, 2006
Thank you for your replies. I will take a look at the link.
