Please can somebody interpret my iron blood test results?

serum iron 19 (7 - 30)

Transferrin 2.08 (2 - 3.6)

TIBC 47 - no range

transferrin saturation 40.2 - no range

ferritin 160 (20-250)

Hi Personally and according to my Endo they would be fine, I wish mine were like that! However, you need annual tests any way if thyroid disease. next time, try and get them to write on the form a the top, to include absorption rate %.It is the most important test for iron/ferritin, only done if written on but ,I am told, automatic if a private test.Do not forget your B12 and foliates either, they can be quite different as different condition.

Thanks for advice Jackie. My B12 is around 500 but I'm taking supplements to increase it. My folate is too high, out of range.
