Sorry for asking so many questions, but I have so many odd symptoms! I am having dreadful sweating/flushing at least once an hour but now my hands feel really cold all the time?

My sweating/hot flushes from chest upwards, (lasting around 10 seconds at most,) was due to the Menopause so I'm on HRT.

I also get cold hands and feet which I'm sure is due to my Hypothyroidism, (cold hands/feet might also be a sign of Renaud's ?)

Thanks, I had a full hysterectomy 5 yrs ago and im have HRT patches, they used to be Estradot 37.5 now im on 50mcg so I cant see why I would have hot flushes if im actually having more hormones??!

This sweating feels different than the original hot flushes I had after my hyst.... all odd

Think I have read about the 'different' (to HRT) type of flushes you are getting on here before so maybe someone will shed more light on it for you.

Hi yes im hypo have been for nearly 5 years now, you are right not like hot flushes I feel even worse when doing anything coz get so hot.but my hands and feet are hot.Gp doesn't know if iv been through my menopause or not as had the mirena coil for 5 years was taken out last year feeling better for it.Had blood tests done to see if was going through the change but couldnt tell as are the same symptoms as hypothyroidism.

Just adding - Have read that some women get Thyroid problems starting around their menopause.

Mine started when I gave up smoking but then again it might be when I was going through the change who knows. Oh and it might be hiredetry as my dad, , brother and niece have it.

It is hereditary, I have 8 women in my family with thyroid probs, main one being my mum who had half hers removed. I was wondering if going through menopause may have caused the thyroid problems, as its all hormones.... mmmm

So why is it you start getting hot just before you have to go to bed then cant sleep coz you are forever kicking the covers on and off, it does my head in.
