Hi Are there any other symptoms? Do your ears feel like they are full of fluid, or one ear?is your breathing laboured?

I think you know. However, in case, if you wish to reply to me, click on Reply under my post.

Best wishes,

Just my left ear (not permiment comes and goes) , it is the ear that I'm slightly deaf in and I do suffer with on/off tinnitus in both ears. Just really annoying I can hear my self breath (breathing fine) and sound weird when I talk. :)

Hi If feel like fluid eg when swimming. It may possible be Atrial Fibrillation, I have permanent AF and when HR ( pulse) high they feel like this, one or both. I have the usual ear problems too. it is not well recognised but I have had it for years and when I tell cardio and ENT they agree. Easy way to rule this in or out is to check HR, 3 times a day for 2 weeks. if uneven, swinging noticeable. Then ask for a 24 or better 7 day heart monitor. A normal ecg does not show this as intermittent for many years.

It could be lots of things but early onset of A.F with thyroid disease, common. So easy to check.. I would also check for infection.

Best wishes,

Jackie

Hiya, I think this happens when your eustachian tube gets stuck open. I think it's due to inflammation so I suppose it could be thyroid related. Have you recently had a cold or something? Deafness and tinnitus certainly can be thyroid related. Hope this helps :-)

No colds :(

I had this really badly after an awful cold/flu thing and it hung around for a while (felt like forever!) but eventually fixed itself :-) how long have you had this?

Hang in there and hopefully it will right itself. Are you taking any vit c? If you do have a bit of an infection which you can't see even if not a proper cold then it might help to calm things down in there.

I get this as well and the only way to stop it happening is to sniff and it stops but then it happens again so I am constantly sniffing to stop the noise.
