Yes, 'They' like to hold the reins -even if they're not sure of direction, often enough!
Did you reduce T4 when starting T3?
If you need more T3 and rely on current dose to bring you up to speed then splitting dose [what many do] won't help much.
The good thing is that you're on the 'mixed dose' which many do find better than T4 only.
T3 acts quickly so after a week or two without improvement, maybe check with consultant and ask for increase. It may be a good move to tread carefully though as any imbalance in meds [going through] may set your case back. It's a slower game as you near the quarry
On the PT front I'm sure others can help- as with the best ways to manage doses practically.
Your figures supplied should help with this- though more background on how you were on Levo could help. Also any other co conditions as these are important to include.[ie:+ your current diagnosis]
Did you ever get a antibody test done TPO/Thyroglobulin or have ultrasound on neck?
That list is certainly extensive. You've been through the mill somewhat. The rash could readily be an allergic reaction to diet &/or MEDS. Some find after years on Levo it doesn't do the trick anymore.
It might be worth going for [private- or NHS Endo] T3 to ReverseT3 ratio test, after some time on Levo with limited success.
You may have blocked receptors for T3 and need time off T4 to clear- it seems that something is blocking the energy pipeline ,big time.Could help the skin here?
The Lupus is no surprise AutoID's run in company, all too happily.
You're probably right to focus on the thyroid end of things- as this is the key to many health and hormonal issues that tie in together.
You will see on here many advices to optimise diet [esp. GUT dysbiosis] B12 , Iron, D3, Zinc+Copper and Selenium.
Vital for T4 conversion and also good general health.
Have you ever had any blood tests done for these?
On your history, you should have been checked long ago.
PS: Dogs love horse poop as it primes their double strength bacterial guts!
NB. We need to care about this. Kefir is good- as a PREBiotic or any fermented organic food.
