I have suffered with fibromyalgia, IBS and Bladder problems for 15years. My symptoms are so similar to Thyrpid problems, I am convimced I have Thyroid issues.
I am always tired, my hair is thimming, fatigued all the time, achy and stiff, brain fog , cold sweats, palpitations.
I was sent by my GP to a Dieticam, who said you are definetely subclimical, and need to find a sympathetic dr which I have never found.
My last tests were in 2017 the results are below.
AUG 2017
T4 8.9 pmol 7.86-14.42
TSH 1.05mu/L 0.35-5.50
thanks Bev😃

Your symptoms indicate LOW T3 which wasn't tested before .... it is the most important test as it is the ACTIVE hormone needed in every cell of your body.
Thank you so much for the info, I will have a good read later, scanned over it and it just strengthens what ive been sayjng about the link between fibro and thyroid issues.
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested.
Very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
Low vitamin levels are extremely common, especially with autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto’s or Ord’s thyroiditis)
Low vitamin levels common as we get older too
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and before eating or drinking anything other than water .
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins
Fibromyalgia is often misdiagnosed vitamin D deficiency. Essential to check vitamin D level. I speak from experience after years of suffering fibromyalgia when vitamin D should have been tested years earlier. It was finally tested at my request and I was very deficient. Good luck
