Help with blood test results

Hi iv just had bloods done and the results are Tsh 5.1. T4 13.2. T3 4.1 can any one tell me if they are normal? Dr says there ok and to retest in 3months. Any help would be great Thank you xx

Are you taking thyroid medication? Your TSH is too high, it should be 1 or below. Your T4 is too low, depending on your labs ranges it should be at the top of the range, your T3 could be too low too depending on the labs ranges. You need a rise in medication.

Thank you. Helcaster yes I am taking thyroxine 50 mcg Dr said every thing was fine and to stay on the same 50mcg alto he did say I was taking a little bit to much thyroxine ??? Totally confused as I don't understand T3 and T4. What do you think I should do as I'm not feeling great and can't lose the weight iv put on 3 stone !! Going into hospital on the 19th Nov to have my diaphragm right side removed as its paralysed over my lung so would like to sort my levels out before I go in. Many Thanks for your help Claire x

Sorry but your doc sounds clueless! Your tsh is far too high and t4 too low, maybe put the ranges up tho to get a better idea.

My tsh was around 2 and i still felt ill and got an increase up to 75. Its made all the difference!

Please try and see a diffetent doctor who knows what their talking about x

Thank you for the help. Theirs so much I don't know. When you say put the ranges up I'm not sure what that is iv only been given the results I have posted. Do you think I am under medicated ? Or over as my Dr said? I would be very grateful if you could advise me? As I said I'm totally clue less about this. Once again Thank you. Claire x

5.1 a bit high so they should be looking into it....goodluck....

Like you I put up readings for tsh t3 and t4 and someone from admin comment saying I needed ranges but like you that was all I was given from secretary at docs surgery
