It may work, but nothing will work without first getting your thyroid hormones right. Without that, you will be beating your head against a brick wall.

If you are sure your treatment is optimal, then a sensible diet will help you.

Another pointer - I see she has lovely recipes for shakes/smoothies: what is greens powder? Also some have Kale and other cruciferous veg which are thyroid destroyers when eaten raw. I notice that spinach is often 'thrown' into her meal recipes. It is possible that in using these kinds of veg you could slow the thyroid down even more and end up counteracting any benefits.

I've just looked up 'Greens powder': they vary in composition but many contain powdered Broccoli and/or Spinach. May also contain Wheat Grass.

For someone like me who does not have a thyroid, this kind of diet could be useful but looking at the kind of food suggested I would be inclined to say that hypothyroid people generally should avoid. Have you looked at Mary Shomon's 'Thyroid Diet'? It has the advantage of not making the thyroid worse.

Obviously, as you can see, I am no diet expert, simply taking cues from the kind of meals which she is suggesting, and putting it together with food advice for thyroid sufferers.

I do not want to discourage you, please don't think that, just suggesting caution.

Hi Marie. Cruciferous veggies won't affect you if you are hypothyroid because of Hashi. That's a common misconception. Only if your hypothyroidism is due to iodine deficiency could be worsen by eating goitrogens ( they make iodine harder to absorb). Hashi can eat goitrogenic food, except for soy ( it could have negative effect on the structure of thyroid).
