the "dragged through a hedge backwards look" hair style?????

My hair has gotten terribly thin and I find it really hard to style (apart from the above style.lol) but I have found a product that has brought the bounce back. Its not cheap but to have hair that looks good again is worth it so thought I would share this product with people on here.

It is all natural and leave the hair lovely and soft BUT with the bounce and vigour it use to have and the people who own the company are lovely (the lady even knew that thyroid medication can cause hair loss - I was impressed).

I have linked the shampoo and conditioner below but I also bought a hair oil which they don't have listed on their site but the product code, for anyone interested is BM050. The bottles are small and I was a little disappointed when I first opened the parcel BUT you only need a small amount to do the job.

thedancingdolphin.co.uk/Mea... Meadowsweet Miracle Shampoo and Conditioner

A friend of mine has trouble with sores on her scalp and she phoned them and they made up a product to help her so if you have any queries just phone them as they are very friendly and helpful.

That's interesting, Moggie. I have thin hair and my scalp frequently itches and gets sore, I tend to use my husband's Polytar shampoo which helps the itchy and sore scalp but doesn't do much for the condition of my hair! I'll have a look at it, thanks for sharing

I just had a look, and there are some provisos.

It would probably be fine for the hair, but I read that meadowsweet can cause similar reactions to aspirin and can also trigger asthma, so if you are a very allergic individual, best to avoid, especialy the creams which sink into the skin:

"Meadowsweet, when used appropriately, might be safe for most people. It can cause stomach complaints including nausea. Skin rashes and lung tightness can also occur.

If taken in large amounts or for a long period of time, meadowsweet might not be safe. Too much meadowsweet can cause blood in the stool, vomiting, ringing in the ears, kidney problems, and other side effects.

Special Precautions & Warnings:

Pregnancy and breast-feeding: It’s UNSAFE to use meadowsweet if you are pregnant. There is some evidence that it could make the uterus contract, causing a miscarriage.

Not enough is known about the safety of using meadowsweet during breast-feeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid use.

Aspirin allergy: Meadowsweet contains chemicals that are similar to the chemicals in aspirin. There is a concern that people who are allergic to aspirin might also be allergic to meadowsweet.

Asthma: Meadowsweet can cause lung spasms, so there is a concern that it might make asthma worse."

As I said, I am sure that using it in shampoo would not cause problems, but anyone using it needs to be aware that it is not just an inert substance.

Thank you for posting this, a fellow messy hair sufferer here! Some very interesting products there particularly the foot care ones.

I've not heard of meadowsweet before.

No neither had I, it doesn't smell to bad and it is doing the job on my hair.

I only wash my hair twice a week (due to shedding), on a Sunday and a Wednesday evening and by Wednesday daytime it is usually looking dreadful and you can tell it needs washing that evening but for the last two weeks its still looking good Wednesday daytime so I'm pleased with the product. Anything that stops the "dragged through a hedge backwards" look is worth spending that little extra in my book.

Shampoo out of stock, boo! Have ordered body wash cum shampoo instead as well as a foot care product. Very much looking forward to a little package arriving!!
