Meadowsweet

I have taken magnesium for many years and for several months have been trying various herbal remedies for acid reflux, including meadowsweet, ginger & marshmallow. I have also tried mild digestive bitters & apple cider vinegar. Also slippery elm.

Watch and wait, venesection, natural aspirin (white willow bark, meadowsweet, fish oils, anti-inflammatory diet). Age 50. PV Jak2. Also Haemochromatosis diagnosed 19 years ago, which is how they picked this up.

The banks on either side of our street are smothered in Spring by primroses and patches of dog violets...then there's the Queen Anne's Lace in great exuberant clumps followed by meadowsweet and wild marjoram...honeysuckle twists around old trees and wild orchids stand proud.

The fields are waist high in Meadowsweet...tall spikes of white flowers carrying a sweet slightly sickly scent...the roots are, and were, highly prized as a source of a reliable black dye, though I've never tried it.

She also said they do a very good Meadowsweet Miracle Foot Cream that is wonderful for swollen feet as it deals with inflammation and swelling, and the condition of the skin (cracks splits rough skin etc) It is anti bacterial and deodorising and smells wonderfully refreshing.
