Hi all! I want to get a good probiotic and would be interested to know what anyone uses and whether you think it is worth the money. Many thanks.

Which probiotics are effective with Hashimoto's?
I'm sorry that I don't have the answer but would be interested to know if a lactose-free probiotic exists.
Just been researching cinnamon_girl. Amazon - Advanced multi-billion Dolphilus; 100% dairy, LACTOSE and milk free. Reviews good. 60caps - £12.79. Hope this may be useful to you. All the best....

PS I'm presuming you have internet facility!
Can't remember what it was called but I used to have a really good one that my husband bought from a health food shop for me, I had been taking loads of antibiotics, sounds funny but it came from a fridge and had to be kept in the fridge at home. Wasn't cheap but it was good.
Sorry not to be more helpful but if you go to a good, possibly independent, health food shop they ought to be able to advise you.

At the moment I use Prescript-Assist which is a soil based probiotic. It's expensive to start with, but after a month you only need to take 2 or 3 times a week I think. Can't remember without looking it up.....
