Has anyone with an under active thyroid tried H... - Thyroid UK
Has anyone with an under active thyroid tried Herbalife? If so, how have you found it? thanks Nade
I did the Cambridge diet a few years ago as they were the only ones that did a lactose free one.
Shake for breakfast and for lunch, and for tea I had the wee bit of steak or chicken with a few veggies, all to the correct weight, was bloomin starving all the time, and amy weight loss in 6 weeks was just 2lbs!!! Yep, just 2 silly useless pounds!! It had cost me £36 a week!!!
I was desperate, and still accused of cheating, because if I followed it to the letter I would have lost X amount of stones...... I did stick to it, to the flamin letter and was bitterly disappointed with suffering so much, especially when going out, not to have had a loss, as I dont call 2lbs any form of a loss.

Yes the soy free version it worked for a bit but then no effect on weight loss also the soy free only comes in vanilla and gets pretty boring.
Thank you all for your responses, much appreciated..
Rod, those links provided an interesting read.. Very informative..
Ann, I agree I've lost 2lb in over three weeks which is soul destroying as stuck to it to the letter as you describe..
I'm going to avoid soy as read it impairs the absorption of thyroxine..
Has anyone found a healthy eating plan that aids weight loss?
Cheers guys
I find following patrick holfords low gl diet is working for me his new book Burn Fat Fast which is an alternate day diet is very good. No gimmicks just good healthy food that keeps blood sugar level. I do use his Get up and Go breakfast shake mixed with fruit in the mornings and sometimes at lunch time on the fast days with sucess. I tried herbalife last year without no success. I didn't know that I shouldn't be eating soy products. On this plan I don't crave sugar or other fattening things.
I Have lost 11 pounds in 2 weeks. I have also started taking t3 so I have more energy to excercise. So I am feeling good at the moment. I hope it lasts.
Good luck with your weightloss

I successfully lost 3 stone on the Cambridge diet 3 years ago. However I really regret doing such a low calorie diet, I think it was another nail in the coffin of my adrenal function and wouldn't recommend these to anyone. Of course I have put the weight back on but I'm trying really hard to be patient and not diet till Adrenals sorted out - did some yoga the other day and it felt like I had on a Sumo suit!
I never lost 1lb on herbalife, was eating healthy and exercising regularly, now just found out im underactive and so the soy in the herbalife would have been an issue!!
