Does levothyroxine cause itchy skin on face?

Since having a tt I have had bumps on my face and its itchy. I used to have smooth flawless skin can this be a side effect to levothyroxine ?

Difficult to answer. Certainly people who are hypothyroid all too often report more itchiness, hives, etc. than they had in earlier years.

My suggestion is that you try some over-the-counter oral histamine tablets (e.g. loratadine), to see if they help. If so, it tends to back up the idea you have excess histamine. You might find that switching round two or three different antihistamines helps - sometimes one works for awhile then seems not so effective.
