Hello. I have had an underactive thyroid for just over a year but still really ill. I take Levothyroxine 100mcg daily. I also have Diabetes type 2 and bipolar illness and clinical depression. I am at my wits end and I am seeing my GP on Tuesday. Can anyone advise me what to say to him, as I get nowhere when I ask for more Thyroid help. Also having my Diabetes reviewed on same day. Any advice please?

Difficult to give suggestions without more info. It may be that your dose of levothyroxine is not appropriate for you. Ideally, we need to know your most recent thyroid test result details. If you call your surgery early tomorrow and get this info, then post it here for further help.

don't forget to ask for vitamin/mineral tests too (often ignored but very important building blocks for health)
Irons, ferrtin, folate & B12, Vit D for starters. J
