How much selenium should I take

I intend supplementing selenium and wonder if any one can advise on dosage.

Oh dear, quote: "One Brazil nut can supply a whole day's requirement of selenium..." and I have been chucking more than half a dozen in my muesli each day. Well, I do love them

I shall halve the dose, which has the added benefit of eking them out, they're quite expensive.

my private doctor gives me a mineral mix where there is 200mcg selenium

(on the page it tells you how much of everything there is in one gram, however if you are over 8 stones you need 5grams per day, this is what I take 5grams per day )

I eat brazil nuts for my selenium, per the post above. If I can get it naturally I'd rather do it that way.
