iv found it better 2 go on a glutton and wheat 3 also go lacto free milk it helps a lot and try gavistn after every meal it sumtimes works avoid red meat dnt even hv bisto granuales they r made up of red meat if u go 2 tesco ask 4 free from its not easy xx

Try googling FODMAPS, based around fructose malabsorption and other sugars....works for me like nothing else has!

Here's what I got from my GI doctor: Foods GOOD for diarrhea: banana, white rice, rice cracker, rice milk, white meat chicken

Foods GOOD for constipation: oatmeal, berries, pears, peaches, plums, papayas, kiwis*, raisins, prunes*, chickpeas, carrots, celery, peas, 5 or more glasses water or decaf tea. Avoid foods that are good for diarrhea. *foods are foods I personally cannot eat because they contribute to pain (also melon and zucchini and any food with calcium carbonate added. "Cooked foods always go down easier . .. homemade soup is best.

I don't know which type you have. She gave me more list of foods for constipation. Here's to a pain-free New Year!
