QUICK QUESTION

I have been dealing with IBS - C for years. Recently I started a high fiber diet per my PC instead of taking statins. My question is: bowel movement more regular but have noticed more mucus. Also the last couple of days a mucus discharge with no bowel movement and it is tannish pink. Has anyone else experienced this? Had a colonoscopy 2 yrs ago with the removal of one very small polyp.

Might be worth mentioning it to your GP as you’ve had a polyp removed in the past.

I’ve had cervical polyps removed several times pre and post menopause which all turned out to be benign after biopsy.

Put your mind at rest anyway.

I agree. Mention this to the GP to put your mind at rest. Always best to speak to the GP about anything you are concerned about.
