It’s taken soooo long to pass bm finally, high fibre, no laxatives, strict routine and suppositries- I eat prunes, potato skin and bran without fail - it’s working!!! Having ct colonography on Thursday must I’m told start low residual diet and take this marker - which will also clear me out. The department have no other options - on Sat having flexible sigmoidoscopy and gastroscope - that’s ok , enema, no diet and sedation - shall I risk messing myself up with this on Thursday - or call the colonography off - really anxious, if I have no fibre and take laxative I’m back to potential blockage - please help if you’ve experience with Gastrografin !!! 😥

Your colon needs to be clear to get results. I would take their advice otherwise no point in havinfg the test, you can return to your high fiber diet afterwards

I had Gastrografin several years ago. It's easy to take, unlike the gallons of Moviprep - but it does clear you out. I'm not sure what you're asking - the CT colon scan was not a problem and no need for sedation for that. I had a gastroscopy a couple of months ago - no sedation and I would have liked some for that. Can you explain a bit better what you mean?
