Deep pain after BM

This is quite new to me in the last few weeks, I think others here have experience, I'd welcome comments.

Not so long ago a good poo with much wind would relieve and the discomfort would pass at least for a while.

Now it's even worse before, and immediately painful after, deep inside. It can be sharp and debilitating. It barely notices paracetomol and it's doing my head in.

If I've enough energy (having had some sleep) I do physical things e.g. garden or walk and they take my mind off it but it's really messed with sleep. I'll check out the pain community on this site.

No blood that I can see. I guess it's our old friend IBS, but if you have experience, what works for you to soothe it?

I'm using colpermin, buscopan has zero effect no matter how much I take.

sorry to see that you have had no replies to this. I do get pain before and afterwards, this is eased by paracetamol and a hot wheat bag.

Sorry to say, but I think you need to see your doctor for more investigations. Your symptoms have changed over the last few weeks and you say that the pain is deep. it is probably still IBS, but it is best to get this investigated so as to eliminate anything else.

Thanks, I've set things going, will be a long process -wait for GP, wait for hospital consult, wait for the up me in me down me from me, scan me rigmarole.

It’s very frustrating. It seems we don’t have much choice over this. Fingers crossed that you don’t have too long to wait.
