Crusted scabies

l have this illness and would like to know if anyone else either has it or has had it. I would like to know how they were cured. I have tried both permethrin cream and oral ivermectin. I would appreciate any reply as l am greatly in need of help. Are there any new drugs for it?

Many years ago, when I was at agricultural college, my friend acquired scabies from the college pig herd (!). Her treatment was permethrin, but also strict bedrest where she was wrapped up in blankets to overheat the mites. This was followed by a hot bath. From memory, this went on for about 3 days, and did work.

You cannot get scabies from animals

If you say so. But, I actually took one of the mites she picked out of her leg and put it under a microscope in the microbiology lab. It was most definitely a mite. That is how she was diagnosed. Physiologically, pigs are very close to humans. There was no other possible vector at the time, Zoonotic diseases are a thing, may I suggest you look it up? But if you choose to be dismissive, that is up to you.
