does anyone else have a problem with IBSd flare up which also affects their gums?

Sometimes my teeth and gums are a precursor to the D.

I mange my diarrhoea with loperamide and a lactose free diet which is mostly good.

I don’t think I suffer as severely as some of you do but it is a horrible condition.

Keep well

From the mouth right down to the other end, it's all the "digestive system", so I suppose one part being upset could easily affect another. But another thought could be that if you have something infected in your mouth, that will be swallowed. I wonder if rinsing your mouth regularly with lukewarm salt water (and spitting out) might help, as saline is antibacterial?
