Hi, I’ve recently had a meltdown with my digestive system, a lot of solid foods disagree with me/ cause digestive slowdown etc. I have had IBS for many years, all pretty manageable until other problems came along. I had complications with appendicitis, and ended up having 2 surgeries, adding scar tissue etc to the bowel.
l have also been taking prophylactic antibiotics on a low dose for years, so the dietician is recommending Symprove to help with this and my very limited choices I now have with food.
Would Symprove in theory, work to some extent with the symptoms I have? Maybe someone who is using it / has used it can tell me.
It costs a lot to buy, and the 50% discount only applies to a subscription, not something I fancy, especially

My opinion is on this, there's not enough strains in it and for what is in it, it is ridiculously priced. Also, there's extracts of Barley in it which would be a no no for me as I can't tolerate barley. I've been using Probiotics for years and tried a lot of different types. I settled on one a few years ago that I think is the best, for me that is, everyone is different. My advise is to try a few, take as directed and see how you go.
thanks, I’ve tried loads over the years in tablet form and bad side effects came as the years progressed, so gave up on them, feel so rotten, not really in the mood for experimenting, but it has to be done. Which ones did you have success with, if any out of interest, if you can remember?
all I can say is I take a probiotic, not ur one, and it’s the only thing that quells the pain, during the day but at night I still get gut ache when I awake. Shld urs work for u ultimately then why not a subscription because u will always need it?
I tried Symprove for 5/6 months did not get on with it I now use Yakult each morning on a empty tummy each morning they appear to help me saying that if you contact them direct you may be given some help!!! but with most things I am afraid it is trial and error and watching what you try and eat and try to follow a FODMAP if you can anything is worth a try well take care and try to keep well xx

My daughter took it for the three months recommended, but it did nothing for her-(she has IBS-D ) apart from making her vomit with the smell!
