constipation
you could take a small amount of milk of magnesia as that’s helpful for constipation or magnesium supplements can help some people. It would also be good to look at your diet maybe you could ask to be referred to a dietitian or if you can afford it look online and go private but a dietitian that works in a hospital setting is the safest way forward as lots of people have nutritional advice and I’m sure you will get lots on here but the dietitian who knows all your medical history etc will be best placed to help you xx
you could try a glass of prune juice. It’s natural and I find it does really work.
My Doc recommends fybogel. It has helped me. It has to be a regular thing and will take time to settle. At present I only need half a sache a day..
My gastro has me on polyethylene glycol (Miralax) and calcium polycarbophil (FiberCon) everyday. Seems to work and safe to take everyday.
I take Lactulose every day. It has caused no problems for me. Having a bit of extra trouble now because having to take cocodamol. It adds to my problem. Just have to adjust things. I also am on a high fibre diet, plenty of fruit and veg.
