I’m now heading up to 8 Laxido tomorrow as Dulcosate and 4 Laxido didn’t work. I am really anxious about it. Can you kind folk tell me how you know if it’s actually moving the solid mass? I’ve still got back cramps, the mass has been there since September and I’ve been on various amounts of Laxido since then. I have other medical issues such as atrial fibrillation etc for which I take many meds. I’m not meant to take Lax an hour before or after plus not allowed 2 in 2 hours. I can’t get to grips with this and it’s getting me down, please help.

faecal impaction
Buy an enema from the chemist, usually works
Try Microlax. That was the only thing that worked on me.
Sorry only just seen this so hope you are sorted but 4 laxido will not unblock you. You need to follow the instructions 8 sachets taken in a six hour window , and maybe over more than one day. You will know are disimpacted , not when you get a bowel movement but when it runs out in a soup like manner then continue with the maintenance dose and in the meantime really think carefully about your diet cutting out stodgy food and junk food, drink plenty of plain water and a good proportion of fresh food.If you are introducing more fibre, dont go mad all at once, it will block you up. One thing that really helps is about 8 to 10 prunes,,,, not eaten as a snack..... but blended with some water and warmed. Its not very nice but this actually works very well. Another help to stimulate your bowel is drinking hot water....plain very hot water, I am amazed that it makes a difference but it does.
