Does anyone else have this ? Starts off normal in the mornings & than becomes just fluid with cramping. Ok in the afternoon & early evening & then feel I need to go again & constipated. Drives me mad. Also when constipated my nose runs like a tap. If I am going out have to use Buscopan & Loperamide but do not rely on it daily.

IBS D mornings than constipated
I have similar experiences, start off normal first thing, then multiple trips all day, although in my case just quite loose, not really full blown diarrhoea. I've gone through everything I know to find out why, partially anxiety related with good reason, but I also believe it's food related too. I have to have enough fibre, if not I get constipated, but not too much or the above happens, and has to be the right kind of fibre. Too much vegetables of the cabbage family is a nightmare.
I have tried loperamide when absolutely desperate, for example if travelling, but I don't really like the effect, i.e. it really bungs me up. If I could take a tiny small amount a few times a day it might not be so bad, but the tablet dose is often too much.
One thing that has been suggested to me is pepto bismol. It's often recommended for travellers diarrhoea when abroad, and being liquid you can take as tiny a dose as you like. I remember buying some many years ago for a trip to Brazil, but my symptoms were nowhere near as bad as they are now.
It's definitely a matter of trial and error I think. I have been doing a trial of a probiotic called symprove, for the company that makes it. So far I'm not entirely convinced of its effectiveness but I shall see if I'm. worse after I stop taking it in a couple of weeks.
I have been given Loperamide by my doctor and he told me to also take Buscopan. I get water like motions in early morning but not all the time. I have phases. Then normal for day or two, but a lot of bloating and uncomfortable tummy when I’ve eaten.
I have found Buscopan helps a bit. But I worry about going out as I have had the odd accident before now as it’s literally instant.
Doctor also advised taking prescription Co-codomol which I take for neck problems.
