Does anyone have one and do they actually use it?
I absolutely hate the idea that anyone should know I need the toilet so I don`t think I would use it.
I also wonder if the majority of people you might need to show it to but would understand what it is!
Never used mine.I would have to be absolutely desperate.🎂
I have used the Radar key and I must say the disabled toilet was very clean. Have not used the can't wait card
I have one, but no I’ve never used it I always think the same as you would they let me use a staff toilet etc or even have seen the card before
I have one and would now use it, however the problem is that there are so many places out there that do not have toilet facilities. Yesterday I was in a very large supermarket and was told that they have toilets only for staff and so i was v distressed and had to go looking for a cafe toilet. I stupidly remembered afterwards that I have this card!I would have been embarrassed but definitely have used it as I was so upset and worried. Please everyone use this card where possible as it might encourage more companies to allow use of toilets. Hope this helps
Hi would like to enquire to ask how do you get one of these cards? As like many I have urgency and I've been caught short on multiple occasions when there is no public toilet available and asked for a toilet to be told there isn't one and to go somewhere else which is usually too late for me. So would really like to know how yo get one of these cards. Thanks
I am a member of the IBS network and these cards plus radar key are all available through them, but I think you'd need to be a member to buy them. I wouldn't hesitate to join, it's been a lifesaver for me, lots of helpful ideas, forums, recipes etc on there. Well worth the membership.
You can buy radar keys on line whether that's correct is another story I have a can't wait card never used it but if desperate and a queue would do
I have a can't wait card too and yes I used it recently whilst in London at the theatre because in the interval the queue was ridiculously long and I was getting desperate for the loo! My daughter went up to the main reception and told a staff member I needed to loo and showed my can't wait card. They immediately came down and opened up a toilet which was in the hallway on the way to the toilets... I realised I could have used my radar key to open this toilet but was glad I did not have to wait any longer for fear of an accident. However, when I came out, a lady wedged her foot in the door preventing it from shutting and used the same toilet as did the group of people she was with. My daughter went back to witness this a few minutes later and it seems everyone was doing the same.
My son has one, and a Radar key and he uses them regularly. He is a lorry driver, so getting 'caught short' is a constant hazard.
Hi JankeI've been putting off from getting one , same here I would hate people knowing. I'm not sure it's even effective to be honest. There isn't much sympathy around IBS I've found. Even my employers have no clue about it
I wish I’d had one in Spanish. Take four diuretics and just spent 12 days with my daughter in Spain. Had to go to a cafe every time I needed the loo so it was one out one in all morning
No one should feel ashamed or embarrassed about the urgent need to use the toilet, anymore than they would if they needed help with any ailment; these are basic human needs. I have 2 “can’t wait” cards as I also have chronic prostatitis, and I would have no hesitation using them. Having said that, I think I’ve only used one a couple of times, and tend to rely on using the radar key for accessible toilets.

I had one for years but never used it - I preferred to stay close to home. It got rather tatty in the end. I tried to get a replacement but got no reply so gave up.
Hi. I have had a card for years but never used it due to embarrassment or feeling people wouldn't understand. I do have a radar key now and have used that. I had a particularly distressing incident in a park last year and had to go in a bush. Not pleasant. Poor old husband had to keep watch.Lack of toilets is a big problem. I tend to only go places where I know where the loo is. Our local cafe now have a code on the loo door which isn't good if you're in a rush. Another one the staff have to buzz you in also embarrassing if you have to go several times.
I have one of these card s I carry it in my purse "IF" I go out I also got a RADAR key for the disabled toilets they can give you some sort of security if you are out and about as in some shops there are no toilets all you have to do is if you are able to show it to a member of staff and they should let you use their toilets OK is that of any help?
Some shops stll won't let you use their toilet due to Insurance purposes . It is worth asking though as some will.
got it in one i have had problems for years nearly 40 years its not quite as bad but still suffer now .i have to learn to live with it now and have an understanding husband as cant go anywhere far i do sympathise with anyone who has ibs as so many different types of it.
