Ongoing Impaction

Would be grateful for any advice about 6 weeks ago I had a impaction ( slow transit bowel) anyway after alot of vidsits to GP and visits to A&E told to take various doses of Laxido and went to the toilet ( I can only say horrendously !) Anyway second trip to A&E and xray showed cleared one side of bowel clear and not other . So youve guessed more Laxido and being near a loo ! So from all this really thought I had cleared it BUT then experienced loads of pain and gas plus pressure in the bowel and now feel totally blocked again so taking laxido again . Does this mean I still have not cleared it ? Have been refused more xrays as told Ive had too many and because suffered with this for most of my life consensus is get on with it. ! Trouble is how much laxcido do I take !

I have Diverticulitis disease and IBS and having a really bad flare up at the minute. I usually take Laxido daily 1 to 3 sachets and fibrogel 1 sachet a day unless constipated. Also just started with amitriptyline 5g nightly as it is a muscle relaxer. glycerine suppositories for 1 week and peppermint oil capsule plus cos infection a weeks worth of Co-amoxiclav . But the Laxido you can take daily-it will tell you on the box how many you can take up to. I hope you get sorted as it is an horrendous disease and flare ups are worse.
