What mint sweets are low fodmap and good? UK brands (IBS-C/Antibiotic use)

I was wondering, sometimes I get a bit nauseous due to constipation (I think? Correct me if I’m wrong). And I used to have Smints to relax me, as they’re very minty. Are there any brands or ideas please?

Additionally, would love to know if you know of any good snack brands we can have? I do love a good biscuit, cake or chocolate. Probably my problem but trying go adapt.

ALSO, how long does antibiotic associated constipation disappear? I’m trying all the fibre stuff and everything… it’s been a week and I’m in deep discomfort.

Thank you!

I don’t know about them being low fodmap but I used foxes glacier mints when I feel sick they are very helpful and very minty. Murray mints are another but they are sweeter with a more butter mint taste so it depends what you like I favour the foxes for sickness but I use the Murray ones when I have to travel and they help too.

I don’t use probiotics as I’ve never found them helpful but I know lots of people do. Prune juice is a good one to get things moving naturally as well.

Hope that helps a little or ask your gp for anti sickness pills I have been on them for a long time as nausea stops me from eating but they pills help more than anything else.

I'm so glad you asked this as I have been suffering from this for a very long time. At home it's always polos or even some halls menthol sweets, but in eating disorder units (due to following the fodmap diet for two yrs by the advice of my GP - yes I said GP!), They use the fox's glacier mints as they also contain an adequate amount of peppermint oil .

I have always found menthol/strong mint or liquorice flavoured things most helpful, but in terms of whether they're fodmap I'm unsure, I restrict myself to two of three a day so they don't massively impact me, if anything they would do the opposite of constipation.

Hope this helps, sorry I couldn't answer your exact question but I hope someone would be able to help as I also struggle with this massively.
