if I have one or two beers or if I have 10+, the next morning I will tend to go to the toilet with Diarrhoea 3-4 times fairly close to each other in times, and after this I would take Imodium so that I can get on with my day without having to worry about where the closest toilets are or if I’ll even make it to a toilet, however when I’m on Imodium and I eat something I have been getting stomach pains and feeling like I need to go to the toilet but obviously can’t because of the Imodium, does anyone else get this or is there anything I can do which will help, cheers.

Any tips on what I can do?
Well, maybe it's the alcohol or something in the beer that is annoying your IBS? Many people find alcohol a real trigger for IBS flares. Or maybe it's some other ingredient in beer?
All I know is I used to love a beer or two. I used to like bottled Stella lager. And I adored Guinness. I would have one before dinner. That was before IBS and have had to stop drinking beer. Same with wine, or champagne. I never overdid it but even one drink will bother me now. So I tried brandy and that wasn't too bad for a little while, then even that bothered me. Now the one only drink I can have is vodka. I put honey in it and have it with fizzy water or with a cup of tea on the side without milk (Earl Grey) and that seems okay.
So in small doses I am okay with a little alcohol, and sometimes it will even help me if I get a bad feeling in my tummy. It will help in minutes. But that's just me, and not everyone will find the same!
It is basically supposed to be BAD for IBS and gut problems.
I have cut down massively on drinking alcohol now but some times it is unavoidable, I’ve found that caffeine and alcohol are main triggers for me, I drink decaf coffee now and have done for months, I will give vodka lime and sodas a go next time I’m out out and see if I’m okay the next day, thanks.
I sometimes get trapped wind after I take a loperamide (generic Imodium). I think it is because it slows down the transit time through the gut.
I tend to find that Imodium does similar to me. Works, stops the need for the toilet but if there was a pain in the bowel it stays put for 24-48 hours till things restart again. If there was no pain then eating tends to cause a feeling of discomfort but it’s preferable to loo dashes!
With regards to alcohol I found I had a gluten intolerance so beer was bad but vodka I can get away with. I get away with white wines better than red in moderation but everyone is different. Best of luck working out what works for you
Well as beer contains gluten you may have an intolerance, and lager contains gas🤔. So suggest less of and see how it goes
Anallergy to yeast. I discovered this in college. I'm alright to bakers and brewers yeast.
