fluttering/vibration sensation

Hi have developed a fluttering buzzing sensation in my lower abdomen/pelvic area sometimes more on the left side . The frequency varies but I feel it is happening more often. Is this IBS related? Has anyone experience it?

Since I gave birth I have had something similar occasionally, like something is moving in my belly. I’m not massively concerned about it but it does feel rather odd. I think I have a bit of IBS but not sure if it’s related or not..

Thanks, by any chance did you have a c section birth. I now think the fluttering is related to my hysterectomy last year sth to do with the nerve endings rejuvenating ? I read sth like this online

No I didn’t have a c-section. Buzzing definitely sounds like it could be nerve related though.

It could not hurt to have a visit with your gynecologist to rule out things such as pelvic floor issues etc.

I went through a phase of this a few months ago. It's a while since I gave birth! And 12 years post hysterectomy so nothing to do with those for me. I googled it and I cannot remember what the explanation was but it was nothing at all to worry about - it's just weird though!

"A vibrating sensation in the vagina is typically no cause for concern. The cause is often a muscle spasm affecting the pelvic floor muscles. Usually, the sensations are sporadic and do not cause significant disruption to a person's daily activities."

Hi, I get what you are describing, I describe it as a pulsating sensation, mine is fairly low down in the gut and central. I’ve had many tests and bowel scans that are all clear. My doctor thinks it’s ibs related. I don’t experience it all the time but it’s a strange sensation
