I have what I think are "weird" IBS symptoms, or are they connected? I don't know.

I was partially diagnosed with migraine in 2018 by a neurologist, though at the time my gut was okay bar one week in Spring 2018 when I had an upset tummy, Basically he couldn't work out what was the matter with me but blood tests, a CT scan, and neuro exams were all normal.

So I don't know what was going on then, or now really (IBS appeared in Spring 2020 or at least it became nore clear then)

I used to have weird tics in my mouth, like a shivering thing in my tongue. That's gone now. I used to feel my head wanted to lift slightly and turn to the left! That's gone now. I felt nausea. That appears to have gone too. Twinges over my right eye. Not even a 1 on the pain scale, but when they happened, everything else did!

I got terribly exhausted like I was on my last days, and it seriously worried me. That's much better now.

Backache. Yes, I still get that but usually when I've over worked my body though it's worse in a flare up.

Sleep disturbance, Woke up after 5 or 6 hours sleep with an awful "creepy" feeling, indescribable like a sense of doom. That still happens on a blue moon but otherwise not there.

Biting down hard on my lips when sleeping, almost as bad as to draw blood, but not quite.

Anxiety and feeling really scared just before a bowel movement, and sometimes heart racing and feeling like I might pass out. That hasn't happened for ages (fingers crossed)

Heart palpitations. A bit better recently.

Those are all symptoms that don't seem to relate to IBS, but it's probable that it's all connected. Many people probably don't get stuff like that. I am weird, full stop!

hi Luisa22 you sound like you may have anxiety. I suffer from anxiety and get palpitations, lightheadedness, poor sleep, I also have IBS I think they go hand in hand. I am trying CBT to help with anxiety.
