Why is it that I have leftside abdomen rib area pain every day, usually worse when I need to lift of stretch and turn my upper body in bed, car or in general, I'm still so worried other than ibs, seeing the consultant again in January.

Burping and left rib area pain
I would imagine the consultant will set you straight. Is this something new, or have you talked to someone about it before?
Hi I have had the same pains for over a year now. Had all the tests all negative. I thought it might be an epigastric hernia. My GP thinks not and going for another ultrasound as I have a swelling there! Worse when I turn or strain and early in the morning. Eases if I go to the loo much worse if I strain. Like you I am worried which does not help the stress levels. Use Laxido and if necessary a microlax enema to make sure I don’t strain
Hi, I don't get any pain on the loo, my pain is there when I move the upper body from the waist especially when movement to the left, that pain under my left rib area I seem to have had since July this year, had bloods and in Sept a ct scan on the abdomen and pelvic with contrast, ok results, when I bend forwards from the waist to pick something up and move that way there is no pain. Seeing the gastro consultant again on the 9th Jan.
When my IBS first started, I too got gut pains after certain poses during a yoga session. Meanwhile, please keep all your appointments, and look after yourself.
It sounds like more of a strain than IBS related, particularly since it comes on with specific movements. Perhaps a physio referral is needed?
