Gastric Enteritis Nightmare

It’s been a while since I’ve posted , but I hope someone can help. About 4 weeks ago on a holiday in Greece I became really sick with what was diagnosed as Gastric Enteritis. Vomiting, terrible stomach pain , diarrhoea, the works. I felt so weak I could hardly walk. It was a weeks holiday and I was ill for the last 5 days of it.

the problem is I still feel ill now. Dreadful stomach pain, loose stools, no energy and continuous pain in my mid and lower back. I have been to the GP who has given me PPIs to take. I have had blood tests that show the ALT is raised. Has anyone had a similar experience or can shed some light to what is going on. I feel quite desperate.

sounds as though you have an influx of bad bacteria in your gut. Have you tried probiotics?
