I've just had a doxazosin slow release tablet partially melt in my mouth. All the info online says is do not crush. Any idea if there would be a problem? Thanks

Why would there be a problem, are they not supposed to melt?

Thanks for replying. Yes but in the stomach. Meds are usually absorbed more quickly via the tongue that's why I was a bit concerned

I'm sure one tablet won't harm you but if you have any doubts ask a pharmacist or doctor when you can.

I'd think it would be okay just this once. Be sure you have your water ready next time.
