Evening Jacquie TEven though you have posted onto the IBS site I think I can help.
I have had two ECGs one in 2019 which showed T wave inversion in AVL and flat T waves in leads 1 & 6, the 2nd in 2023 showed more or less the same T wave inversion in AVL & T wave in leads 1 to 6. Haven't a clue what it means in layman's terms. This time the doctor said it could be extra hearts beats or missed heart beats. 1st time round I had an echo cardiogram, results no action needs to be taken. 2nd time around an echo cardiogram & 24 hr recording of heart. This showed I was having extra beats but as I have no symptoms no action needs to be taken but a revisit to the Cardiologist in a years time. Hope that makes sense?
The sonologist does have to press down quite firmly with the probe it's a little uncomfortable but not as bad as a mammogram. Thanks for your good wishes, likewise hope all is good for you😁
Tipped T waves are usually indicative of certain cardiac conditions. Is it a change since your last one? I would say to consult with a cardiologist rather than just ignore it per your doctor. It may well be normal for you but that needs to be verified.
Can I ask why you mention this saying to ignore my Gp , have you had a experience of this or medically trained , two gps and the hospital say after checking and bloods and monitoring it’s nothing to worry about so just wondering but thank you I do appreciate your comments and your right not to leave things
For years I had T wave inversion etc. in ecg..had it done yearly..I finally asked to see cardiology and thru echo was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomopathy (sp) and I have had it all my life. I am okay but just good to know. I am not a medical doctor but you asked if anyone ever had this. It is good to know that it is normal for you .
Thank you for sharing that I am so glad your ok and hopefully it will always remain that way and yes I definitely will have my eco ultra sound and make sure I get answers , I’ll post back once it’s been done to help others like you kindly helped me , stay healthy
And the echo is not bad at all....I need contrast...you may or may not but compared to some tests it is easy and so reassuring to know that all is functioning well.
