rib pain and ct scan

Been on here a few times ando always helpful feedback but now i seem to be having some pain in my left ribcage area when i move in certain ways, is this all part of ibs and ibs group pains? I m having a ct scan today for the abdomen and pelvic with contrast, very worried too. Been having the bowel paibs for 8months now.

Do you get really bad constipation? I have the same issue with left sided rib pain and also get it in my chest. I have been diagnosed with IBS with constipation. Recently saw my GI and he did an upper endoscope. I had an esophageal stricture, gastritis, and Barrett's esophagus all caused by reflux according to him. However, I had no symptoms of burning or indigestion like typical GERD. GI said sometimes you don't feel it like silent reflux. He put me on Prilosec and Pepcid Complete. Not doing well on the Prilosec..made the left sided pain worse and constipation worse. He is trying me on Linzess now. For me it seems the constipation could be causing the rib and chest pain. I had an abdominal CT that was clear. I have also been asking them to check my gallbladder function, but they won't because my pain is left sided. Still trying to figure out the cause of it. What did your CT scan show? Any answers yet? I would follow up with a GI regardless. 🙏❤️
