still worried about my stomach

having suspected I had a impaction a week before xmas ( suffer with slow transit bowel) and numerous trips to GP ( all of you will have put up with my previous posts!) and various amounts of movicol CT scans etc which confirmed loaded bowel and numerous trips to toilet I still have the most excrutiating stomach ache and wind all day wakeing me at night. My GP feels I have overdone the Movicol and to give my stomach a rest for a few days. So I am now going to the toilet buts its back to rock and the pain in my stomach is pretty constant its really getting me down. Have I cleared the impaction ? is there a obstruction? what is wrong with me or have I just got myself into a anxious state convinced my bowel is still impacted ? Help !!

Sounds like me, I do think that it's easy to get into a state about it, I know I do and all the worrying makes me tense up, and I think how can anything move through me while I am so tense and anxious? Tensi g up our muscles, must also tense our gut at the same time, that's my theory anyway. Although you must still see a doctor if you feel you need to.... Best wishes

Sounds like me too. I worry when I do go because I know it will cause me pain for the rest of the day but I also worry when I can't go. Catch 22. I find going on youtube & listening to various hypnotherapy messages for pain & IBS helps me as does the meditation videos for similar symptoms. I do this every day.

Hi I think your gp maybe right , in the past I’ve had to do the same with movicol , took a long time to get out of my system and caused a lot of pain and wind . You could always ask doctor for another scan if you’re that worried , I do feel for you it’s a horrible position to be in and it does make you anxious x

To many CT cause cancer.If your intestines are empty don’t eat solid foods at least 3 days , slowly back to normal.
