I’m in desperate need of help or advice. I have been having loose stools for the last 5 weeks, every morning I go the same, it smells bad and is pale in colour a little orange. I have had a stool sample done (FIP) which was fine. I also have had a scan on my upper abdomen including my gallbladder, the doctor said it was fine. Within the last 2 weeks I have now got terrible tummy ache which starts in my upper abdomen then moved to my pelvis, this happens about an hour after I eat. I am now getting pain in my chest and back in between my shoulder blades, it feels like a lump. My doctor has upped my Lansaprosole to 2 a day but they’ve done nothing. I was told to try buscopan, again no improvement. I’m due to have a pelvic scan next week incase it’s something to do with that area instead. I honestly thought I had gallstones but have been told it’s fine, so now I’m wondering if it could be fibroids. It’s getting me down as I ended up in A and E 2 days ago, I was made to feel like I was being a pain, the doctor said to take Imodium, I explained when I do it bungs me up for a day and then I’m back to square one, he said you just have chronic diarrhoea, but why? And what about my pain? I still have tummy pain and chest pain. I don’t think I’m being taken seriously. I’m bloated all the time which doesn’t make sense as I’m eating like a little bird. I was hoping someone would read this and tell me they went through it and what the outcome is. Any help is very much appreciated.

Please help, diarrhoea, lump in chest and back, stomach pains after food.
Fecal impaction with overflow diarrhea and as consequence bacterial overgrowth producing gas? Could be because of motility issues. You definitely should see a gastroenterologist I think.
And what about your diet? My intestines can't barely digest insoluble fibres and fat. These ingredients make my symptoms worse so have to mind my intake. Besides, I also need to use a (gentle) stimulating laxative several times during the day.
Thank you, I will do this
This sounds awful, you poor thing. Sounds like they need to do some further investigations, I would ask to see a gastroenterologist.
Hi Doll2202. If your pelvic scan comes back normal ask to be referred to a gastroenterologist. I had pain in abdomen radiating to the back but the pain was severe it kept me a wake day and night for 5 days off and on and was eating very little. I lost alot of weight.A scan showed a umbilical hernia and a few gallbladder stones. They told me all was ok as very tiny. My gp still sent me to a gastroenterologist who sent me for a MRCP this showed severe gallstone blockage and diseased gallbladder with a cyst and sludge. I had my gallbladder removed last August and I have been fine since. I can eat foods I use to eat before my problem but not much fatty foods as I will get diarrhea. I wish you well and let us know how you get on.
Hi Nothingimpossible, thank you very much for your message. I am definitely going to push to see a gastroenterologist. I’d be so relieved if they can fix this issue.
Good for you . Wish you well
You should be seen and tested by Gastroenterologist for Chronic Pancreatitis. Good luck.
