VSL#3 Live freeze-dried Food Supplement-has anyone had success with these?

I have been diagnosed with Diverticulitis after many years of suffering extreme stomach pain and excessive wind. I currently take Lansoparzole and Mebeverine and recently Pentsa suppositories which helped short term, but the side effects of these are not pleasant. I’m thinking of trying VSL#3 live freeze-dried bacteria food supplement and wondered if anyone else has tried these and if they helped?
