Anal fissures

Have been having severe pain with anal fissures for well over a year. Has anyone had surgery for this? I’m being told the surgery is even more painful and that anal fissures can just return. My quality of life is definitely suffering. Anyone have any experiences to share?

Try Ben Pura, a Yarrow Ointment. Can be bought on Amazon. Works very well, no stinging and completely natural. It's a life saver!

Thanks for sharing what has helped you. I am nervous of using an ointment that can be bought online. Was it recommended by your doctor or another medical professional? Thank you.

No, I had some prescription ointment that didn't help at all. I looked at all the positive reviews for this product and thought it would be worth a try. It's actually spelt Benepura. It's very soothing and has no harsh chemicals in it.

I do sympathise. I have had an anal fissure since April. It started when I made huge changes to my diet with a Nutritionist. My IBS significantly improved but despite trying Sudocream. Cetraben and through my Doctor, Rectogesic ointment (glyceryl trinitrate) its still uncomfortable. Everything gives temporary relief but its not fixed. I also have cyst baths regularly which do help. I bought a flat seat from Amazon that sits over the toilet seat and I fill it with warm water. Easier then having a bath.My next step is to be referred to a Colorectal surgeon which really scares me. Have another health issue to tackle first so will think about that referral little later on.

Please share on here anything that helped you.
