Hemorroid??

Hello folks, I had a colonoscopy 6 months ago, everything perfect, nothing wrong all clear. I had a few very hard stools few days ago and later felt discomfort. That night in shower I felt a small soft moveable bump (sac) at anal area. I have let the water run down my back and been gentle, I feel as though it’s gotten better but still there. No bleeding. Is this a hemorroid and how do I get rid of it, how long does it take? Or is this anal cancer??

Thank you for any advice

The fact you have had hard stools and would off been straining I would think it is piles but I would also seek advice from your doctor aswell they can check for you and prescribed you pile cream or give you other advice if cream is not suitable x

That’s what I think too, but just wanted to get the opinion of others who have experienced it and know what it’s like. Your mind wanders sometimes.. and then we google and that makes things bad!

Think it depends how bad they are really would go to tgw doc cause if there really bad you will prob need to get surgery where they tie them.off x

Sounds like a prolapsed pile to me but see your doc anyway x

Sounds like a hemorrhoid. I get this all the time. A cold flannel helps and you can gently push it back in. Gently massage it back.

You do?? What’s a cold flannel? How long to get rid of it? It hurt (felt like a cut) the first day but have been using prep H and no pain.

Push back in?? It’s not large and feels soft squishy and moveable but I don’t know about pushing it back? What if it breaks/bleeds?

It does not have to be a flannel. Any cold cloth will do. The cold helps reduce swelling. It should Not be outside. It will get dry and itchy. I did say Gently massage. Savlon is a safe cold cream and it is soothing. Massage with a cream like anusol is good.

Hey, so the size went down with prep H, so I tried what you said and pushed it in. It’s very odd to me?? What happens after you push it in? Does it just sit there lurking?

Sounds like a pile. Doctor will probably prescribe cream or pessary. I got so fed up with mine, I got private treatment two weeks ago during which the consultant injects them high up in the bowel so they eventually shrink long term after around five weeks. It wasn't as painful as it sounds, more uncomfortable and only took fifteen minutes.

I had noticed a huge difference already and am pleased I went ahead.

Private treatment?? With a GI? Do they not go away on their own?? Glad your doing better!

Yes, they do go away but with ibs and either constipation(straining) or having to go very frequently ( overuse) they tend to reappear more and more ofter until you find that there are more than one. They hover just inside and often sneak outside which gets very sore and uncomfortable.

This was the stage I was at, after many years, so that's why I decided to get some treatment.

I phoned on the Monday, seen and treated on the Thursday. It cost me £366

I go without holidays to pay for treatments when I can't face the waiting lists of the NHS.

Oh ok, This is my first so I guess I will see how it goes first. But glad it helped you. Well worth the money for some relief!

Just how long does this take to go away. I think it’s smaller and has pushed in but then I feel some of it come back. What the heck? Is this a normal bout of hemmeroid? Will the prep H work?
