Immodium after diarrhea causing constipation and pain in bowel
It could be that your bowel is empty ! Don’t take the Imodium unless you really have to x
You've not given a timescale, but if this all happened over a couple of days then I wouldn't worry. My IBS can be such that I take Imodium after diarrhoea, but then have no bowel movement for a week! It is possible that your bowel movements would have stopped after the diarrhoea without the intervention of Imodium, and the latter has simply exacerbated the "problem". I put the word "problem" in quotes because it isn't really one, and you will probably find that the situation corrects itself in a few days without taking any further medication.
Hi there, when constipated I just eat lots of kiwi fruits and that’s helps so much. Xx
Hi, this was the issue I had after taking imodium for diarrhea episodes I was having before I knew about my slow transit bowel. I wouldn't be able to go for up to nearly two weeks after taking it and my bowels felt like they were bruised. Now I don't touch imodium because I know the diarrhoea I get is overflow because of my constipation.
